2011 Holiday VoxBox!

So this post is overdue! I recently recieved in the mail my 2011 holiday voxbox!! Isn't that neat?! It's my very first one from Influenster!

If you aren't sure what Influenster is: Influenster is a neat site that is FREE to join and is based around products, badges, and reviews. You simply sign up, unlock some badges and they send you related products to your home FREE! :D Then you just review them, and repeat!

This holiday voxbox came with: Softsoap Bar Soap (Coconut), NYC Liquid Lip Shine (Nude York City was the one I recieved), X Out Wash-In Treatment (one of the items you may or may not have recieved - some got a perfume sample instead), Mentos Gum, a sample-size Larabar, one Montagne Jeunesse mask ( I recieved Dead Sea).

I'm very excited to post my unboxing for you all, it was a magical day for me! :P I just have some issues with a firewall somewhere not allowing my videos to be imported! When I solve this the video will be live!!!

Check back soon!!

Book Review: Jesus Calling Devotional Bible,NJKV by Sarah Young

Hey everyone! It's once again time for a book review! The book I will be reviewing today is titled Jesus Calling Devotional Bible,NKJV. The book was sent to me gratis for being a member of http://www.booksneeze.com ; If you do not know what booksneeze is, it is a website that provides free books to panelists so that they can review it. The site offers an amazing collection of religious books. Now, on to the review:

I actually first heard of Jesus Calling Devotional Bible through booksneeze's facebook fanpage. I saw that they were offering a FREE daily devotional email, and I signed up for it by email. I recieved about two or three of the devotional emails before I decided I would love to read the book itself. I logged into booksneeze.com to see if they had it, and sure enough they did!

The pages of this book are filled with great verses, devotionals and prayers. From the moment you pick up Jesus Calling you are wrapped up in the love God has for you. The verses are placed before the story and help to give the reader a sense of what the story to come will be all about. After the story (or prayer)comes a response, written by Sarah Young and worded in such a way that it seems to be Emmanuel replying to the written story.

This book is not only well-written and executed- the entirety of it is RELEVANT. I feel this book accomplishes the author's intention to bring Jesus back into our daily lives, and to remind us that we can go to Him. I loved that the scenarios are very fresh and I loved the flow of the book. I would recommend this book highly to a friend or family member.

Stars: *****

Thanks for reading lovelies!

Samples in the mail!

I got a few of the samples I requested in the mail today, and I also received a mascara I had won from L'OREAL :) So I am working to put that video out in the very near future! It's not a large haul of samples, but it's neat to show that companies do value feedback and want the average joe's opinion!

So keep an eye out!

Book Review: The Grace Effect by Larry A. Taunton

The Grace Effect, which was sent to me gratis (which means free) by Booksneeze.com, was quite the interesting read! In this book, Taunton does not waste any time- he goes right in for the kill! This book is a glimpse into adoption (he internationally adopts a girl named Sasha), and how a true blue Christian like Taunton (and his family) journey together through Christ and through the heart. At first, the adoption does seem a bit likely to fail, however it slowly blossoms into a wonderful and deep connection. In fact the experiences Mr.Taunton goes through will stimulate your mind and give a warm-and-fuzzy feeling. This book delves into a comparison of what society would be like if grace was absent, and what it is like because of grace. This beautifully worded story offers more than just the same old Atheist versus Christian arguments- it offers a glimpse into what Christianity is all about. If you are a long-standing Christian, or a non-believer you should really read this book. Its insights are wonderful, and the story will touch your heart! Definitely on my list of books to share with friends and family alike! If you have a moment, I urge you to read this book and take the same journey with Mr.Taunton that he lays out in the story.

(Note: If you would like a more in-depth review [though I feel you should read the book] please message me. It was hard not to spill the whole story and spoil it hehe)
