Give Me Liberty, Or Give Me Libertarianism!

SO, what is a Libertarian?

Libertarians believe in a much more harmonious and peaceful approach to politics. If you click HERE, the current campaign will inform you in addition to this post on what Libertarianism IS, STRIVES FOR, and MEANS.
I used to wonder for a long time, being in a very politically involved household, what party I really agreed with. I would find bits and pieces of either party I agreed with however the majority of key points I disagreed with. I believe in our government, I even believe there is hope for it (shocking to some). I love America, and I love what freedom were set down for us. Is it so unusual then, that one day when google searching, I stumbled upon the Libertarian Party?

QUOTED BELOW IS FROM: HERE
What is libertarianism? Libertarianism is, as the name implies, the belief in liberty. Libertarians strive for a free, peaceful, abundant world where each individual has the maximum opportunity to pursue his or her dreams and to realize his full potential. The core idea is simply stated, but profound and far-reaching in its implications. Libertarians believe that each person owns his own life and property, and has the right to make his own choices as to how he lives his life – as long as he simply respects the same right of others to do the same. Another way of saying this is that libertarians believe you should be free to do as you choose with your own life and property, as long as you don't harm the person and property of others. Libertarianism is thus the combination of liberty (the freedom to live your life in any peaceful way you choose), responsibility (the prohibition against the use of force against others, except in defense), and tolerance (honoring and respecting the peaceful choices of others). Liberty is one of the central lessons of world history. Virtually all the progress the human race has enjoyed during the past few centuries is due to the increasing acceptance of free markets, civil liberties, and self-ownership. Our goal as libertarians is to bring liberty to the world, so that these wonderful and proven ideas can be put into action. This will make our world a far better place for all people. We hope you will join us in embracing this ideal – and in taking a stand to personally bring about a world of liberty, abundance and peace.

I used an image straight off of THIS site, to illustrate a broad generalization of LP values. The site has a list as well of things they believe in.
SO, why this post? The Libertarian Party is currently doing a campaign involving spreading awareness and also fundraising (as it's not one of the "main two parties" it needs to get off the ground with a lot of help).
How can you become involved? Simple! - JOIN! :) Go here (if you read the aforementioned links or description and are pro-freedom/limited government) , join, spread the word, and even DONATE! (Of course donations are all optional!)
CHECK THIS OUT HERE to join or become involved

I hope that if anyone ever wondered why they disagree with both right and left wing politics, they find the happy middle ground here with us Libertarians!

XoXo,
Supergirl
