Calling all you foodies!
If you love cooking, if you love food, if you love wine, and if you love competition you're really missing out if you've never watched The Taste. ABC's hit show The Taste airs on Tuesdays at 8|7c. Centered around 16 competitors (ranging from experienced to novice) work in teams to dazzle four of the world's top chefs(Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson, Ludo Lefebvre and Brian Malarkey). The four act as ongoing mentors to the competitors, split into teams of four, as they whip up divine foods based off that week's theme (or get eliminated from the show). The judges always taste the food "blind" (not knowing who created what dish). After only recently discovering this show (but being a long-time foodie) I am enamored. It's fun to watch, and very easy to get competitively into it. I highly recommend this show, and plan to keep tuning in every Tuesday (I recommend eating BEFORE you watch this.. you know you eat when you watch cooking shows too :P ).
